Welcome to the Ball Sort Puzzle Solver! This tool helps you solve ball sort puzzles by providing step-by-step solutions. Please follow this guide to make the most of the solver.

Getting Started

Default Container Setup

The solver comes equipped with default container configurations that match most ball sort puzzle games. Each container has a specific number of segments that can hold colored balls.

Custom Colors

The solver allows you to customize colors to perfectly match your puzzle:

  1. Using Custom Colors

    • You can use any CSS color codes, including:
      • Named colors (e.g., "red", "blue", "green")
      • Hexadecimal color codes (e.g., "#f4a460")
    • For a complete list of named colors, click here

  2. Managing Your Palette

    • To modify existing colors, first use the "Reduce Colors" button to clear all current colors
    • Your custom palette will be automatically saved for future use

Setting Up Your Puzzle

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Fill Containers

    • Click on a container to select it
    • Click on a color from the palette to fill the container
    • Repeat until all containers are filled according to your puzzle
    • Use "Extra Container" and "Extend Container" to add/extend one segment of a container, just like boosters🆕

  2. Verify Your Setup

    • The counter shows how many segments of each color are filled
    • This helps you verify if your setup is correct
    • Each color should appear exactly N times the default segment count

  3. Solve the Puzzle

    • Once your puzzle is correctly set up, click the "Solve!" button
    • The solver will attempt to find a solution
    • If a solution exists, it will be displayed step by step

Important Notes

  1. Unknown Colors

    • The solver cannot solve puzzles with unknown colors
    • If you're stuck on a level with hidden colors:
      1. First reveal the colors in the game
      2. Note down all the colors
      3. Return to the solver and retry with complete information

  2. Unsolvable Puzzles

    • Some levels are intentionally designed to be unsolvable
    • These levels typically require in-game boosters
    • If the solver cannot find a solution, this might be the case

  3. Colorblind Mode

    • Enable colorblind mode to add additional symbols for each color

  4. Errors

    • If you encounter any issues or believe the solver has an error, please send feedback with the level data
