Welcome to the Water Sort Puzzle Solver! This tool helps you solve water sort puzzles by providing a step-by-step solution. Follow this guide to make the most of the solver.

Getting Started

Default Bottle Setup

The solver comes with a default bottle configuration that matches most water sort puzzle games. Each bottle has a specific number of segments that can hold colored water.

Customizing Colors

The solver allows you to customize colors to match your puzzle exactly:

  1. Using Custom Colors

    • You can use any CSS color code, including:
      • Named colors (e.g., "red", "blue", "green")
      • Hex color codes (e.g., "#f4a460")
    • For a complete list of named colors, click here

  2. Managing Your Color Palette

    • To modify existing colors, first use the "Reduce Color" button to clear all current colors
    • Your custom color palette will be automatically saved for future use

Setting Up Your Puzzle

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Filling the Bottles

    • Click on a bottle to select it
    • Click on a color from your palette to fill the bottle
    • Repeat until all bottles are filled according to your puzzle
    • Using "Extra Bottle" and "Extend Bottle" to add/extend one segment of a bottle, just like the booster

  2. Verify Your Setup

    • A counter displays the number of segments filled with each color
    • This helps you verify your setup is correct
    • Each color should appear either exactly N times of the default segment

  3. Solving the Puzzle

    • Once your puzzle is properly set up, click the "Solve" button
    • The solver will attempt to find a solution
    • If a solution exists, it will be displayed step by step

Important Notes

  1. Unknown Colors

    • The solver cannot solve puzzles with unknown colors
    • If you stuck in a level with hidden colors:
      1. Reveal the colors in the game first
      2. Note down all colors
      3. Return to the solver and try again with complete information

  2. Unsolveable Puzzles

    • Some levels are intentionally designed to be unsolveable
    • These levels typically require the use of in-game boosts
    • If the solver cannot find a solution, this might be the case

  3. Color Blind Mode

    • Turn on color blind mode to add extra symbol for each color

  4. Bugs

    • If you encounter any issues or believe there's a bug in the solver, please send feedback with the level data
